Kara Rogers


Kara Rogers is originally from Louisville, Kentucky. She moved to Florida following high school to attend the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg. She graduated from her undergraduate program with a 4.0 GPA and was awarded the prestigious King O'Neal Award for her accomplishment.

After working for some years, Kara went on to attend Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. At Stetson, Kara continued to excel academically, earning a 3.8 GPA and becoming part of the top 1% of her graduating class, graduating summa cum laude. Kara was also a member of Stetson's award-winning Dispute Resolution Team where she competed both nationally and internationally in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration competitions. She completed Stetson's Honors Program in addition to serving as a Teaching Assistant for a Research and Writing class, helping to train newly admitted students in the skills they will need to be successful as future attorneys. She also performed pro-bono work with the Guardian Ad Litem program, helping to represent abused, abandoned and neglected children in the courtroom. Upon graduation she was presented with the prestigious Kelly Feeley Dispute Resolution Board Founder's Award for her outstanding accomplishments on the Dispute Resolution Board. She also received the William F. Blew award for her commitment to pro bono service. Kara was inducted into the Order of Scribes for her exceptional legal writing and the Order of Barristers for her exceptional advocacy skills.

Since graduating, Kara has had the opportunity to work in both the public and private sector. She has worked as a Federal Law Clerk to the Honorable Carol Mirando in the Middle District of Florida and served as a Staff Attorney in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit. Kara has also worked in private civil practice, gaining experience in multiple practice areas.
